Making the world a better place should be the main priority on an individuals mind. There are so many people around the world that need our help because they are less fortunate than us. There are so many organizations out there that are willing to help in any shape or form. If we all took the time out to really focus on what we can actually do to help, we will be saving so many people in the process. People are not the only ones that need our help but also animals are also being victimized all over the world. They do not have a voice which makes people feel that they can take advantage of them. We all need to start donating our time and money into helping them because time is ticking. We do not want to sit back and relax and then realize time is too late. We need to think about future generations and what condition we are leaving the world once it is passed on to them.

Thanks to the support of generous donors like you, The American Legion can continue to provide much-needed assistance to disabled veterans, U.S. military families with children at home who are facing unexpected financial hardships, troops recovering from wounds and illnesses and the children of fallen troops and disabled veterans.

Here are just a few ways your donation can make a life-changing difference for a hero in need:

  • Supply wounded warriors with comfort items during recovery
  • Grant scholarships to children whose parents died on active-duty or incurred a 50-percent VA disability since Sept. 11, 2001
  • Cover necessary household costs for military families in need, with children at home
  • Help with the cost of recovery after a natural disaster strikes the home of a military veteran
  • Identify the unmet needs of U.S. military personnel, veterans and their families, and provide the necessary resources to meet them
