I don't need any more stuff, so this year I've decided to ask for something more meaningful instead. Rather than buying me something that I'll never use, its a much better use of your money to support a great cause. I would still like to feel as though I'm receiving something, though, which is why I like the tangible gifts on this site. Knowing exactly where the money is going feels more personal than simply a donation amount. Also, the greeting cards look great and make a real alternative to a gift.

I already feel fantastic knowing that I'm helping support important work, so I'm looking forward to finding out just how much I raised. I don't think I'll ever go back to wanting traditional gifts, it really does feel amazing! I'd love to give you this feeling too, so why not create a wish-list of your own? Whatever cause you care about, you'll be able to find a relevant gift.

$30.00

This gift provides five healthy meals for participants in our after-school programming. An essential component of our programming is to provide a full meal since many of the Prevention participants might not receive an adequate meal at home. In the high school program, the teens cook the meals themselves, so they learn how to cook nutritious meals. Your gift will allow us to buy healthy ingredients to cook nutritious meals for all our young participants. A fulfilling, healthy meal energizes our participants and increases their attentiveness, which makes us more effective in developing their academic skills and interpersonal skills. Please help us continue to promote a healthy lifestyle to the at-risk girls and young women we work with.
