Making the world a better place to live in is something I aspire to do - be it donating to nonprofits that support my causes or actively helping my community. There are many causes to support in the world, and ChangingthePresent is a gateway for people to support these causes, such as hunger, safe drinking water and many more. This wishlist shows the causes that I support deeply.

Educate Young Girls - Food for education

Friends of the World Food Program, Inc.

$60.00

Your gift will provide take-home food rations to girls in school for six months to help ease the economic burden on parents. This will help convince parents to keep their daughters in school and free them from their household chores. This gives girls, who otherwise may stay at home, the chance to learn. By promoting education for girls, the World Food Program (WFP) will improve a woman’s chances of finding well-paid work, raising a healthy family and even preventing the spread of diseases like HIV/AIDS. WFP is also helping these girls to achieve economic independence and have a voice within their communities. Education empowers girls and gives them the knowledge and tools they need to improve their lives. It will continue to have positive and long-lasting effects not only for them, but also for their families and their communities. $25.00

Your $25 donation enables WaterAid to provide one person with clean safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in one of the 26 countries where we work. This gift is enough to pay for one person in one of the world's poorest countries to gain access to safe, clean water and sanitation for life.

Your gift will provide supplies for a KaBOOM! Play Day, which brings out an entire community for one day focused on the importance (and fun!) of play. At KaBOOM!, we believe that kids who play are less likely to be obese and develop obesity-related health problems. They also develop the cognitive skills that are positively linked to learning and academic performance. And they also learn confidence and the social skills that help them become happy, well-adjusted adults.
