Respond to A Crisis

Problem
What would you do if you woke up and your entire world had turned upside down? Natural disasters and other emergencies, such as earthquakes and armed conflicts, affect children disproportionately. Schools are destroyed, health clinics are overloaded, and every aspect of a child’s life can be shattered. Emergencies often result in long-term problems, including malnutrition and increased child trafficking, and the disruption of health services can lead to outbreaks of pandemics, including HIV.
The Gift
By supporting innovative, community-based organizations that serve children, your gift will strengthen devastated societies, particularly in the areas that most affect their youngest and most vulnerable members. The Global Fund for Children’s grantee partners are focused on rebuilding these communities, often after initial response organizations have left. Your gift will go toward providing food, medicine, temporary housing, and school supplies, as well as helping revive the economies of afflicted communities.
