Responsible India
Keeping India to Task
Global Security Institute
Problem
The Government of India supports a nuclear weapons-free world. The Prime Minister, Vice-President and other officials affirmed their commitment to nuclear disarmament at a high-level conference in 2008. The problem is that their friends in other governments are not holding them to task. India will not live up to its commitment without the support of its allies, especially the United States.
The Gift
The speeches from that conference were published in a book, "Towards a Nuclear Weapons-Free World." Your gift will get one copy of this landmark book into the hands of a key decision-maker, whether a legislator on the Foreign Affairs Committees of the House and Senate, a legislator in India or another Indian ally's parliament, or diplomats at the United Nations. In essence, your gift will help enhance the accountability of the world's largest democracies, and one of the US's most important allies.
