Overview

The Boys & Girls Club of Sierra Vista is an organization that offers the communities' youth a safe place to learn and grow - all while having fun. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys & girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging, and influence.

Mission

To inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

History

The Boys & Girls Club of Sierra Vista opened its doors in June 1996. The Club is affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. All Boys & Girls Clubs are autonomous from the national headquarters in regards to governance and funding.

Program

The Boys & Girls Club of Sierra Vista conducts over 20 nationally recognized programs annually. All programs are chosen from 5 core areas of youth development:
Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness, and Recreation.

Impact

The Club is unique from other youth serving organizations in town. The Club is facility based with a building located in a neighborhood used solely as a Boys & Girls Club. The Club employs trained adult professional staff that are dedicated to the mission. All employees are subject to ongoing background checking and training to ensure the highest quality of performance. The Club is open everyday of the week - when kids need a place to go the most. The Club is affordable. No child is turned away because of inability to pay registration or program fees. Dues are kept low to ensure all families can afford to join.

Goals

To survive the financial crisis and economic down-turn and to continue to provide the highest quality service to the youth of our community.
