Shelters and hotlines
Futures Without Violence
Before the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) was passed by Congress, no federal laws existed for the sole purpose of providing services to local communities so that they could better protect women and children who were being abused at home. FVPF helped author and pass this legislation, providing critical resources to millions of women, children and families throughout the U.S.
Your contribution will support the FVPF as we continue to work with lawmakers in Congress and throughout the U.S. to pass legislation that provides direct assistance and funding to local shelters, hotlines, and other crisis services.
