Financial resources are often scarce, and raw materials are, of course, essential to creating their craft and building their businesses. When artisans receive an order for a product, they are not paid the full amount up front. Especially for poor artisans, this can limit the amount of orders they can take, thus keeping them in a cycle of poverty.
