Family Care International
Too many young people in poor countries don’t have access to accurate information about their bodies, rights, and reproductive health. Their choices — about relationships, sexual activity, contraception and medical care — determine whether or not they become HIV-infected, have unplanned pregnancies, experience gender violence, and face the risks of early pregnancy.
This gift will provide FCI’s youth education handbooks — accurate, culturally appropriate, and in the local languages — for 12 communities in Latin America, Africa, or the Caribbean. FCI’s innovative materials, produced in a dozen languages and now used in more than 30 countries, help young people understand their sexual and reproductive health and rights, and empower them to make smart choices. Right now, demand exceeds the available supply, and new translations, adaptations, and updates are always needed. Your gift of $50 will help communities all over the world — in places where young people desperately need the accurate information that can save their lives.
