Problem

An important aspect of the Campaign is that landmine survivors always be included and represented. This is demonstrated by the slogan: “Nothing about us without us." Many campaigners in the ICBL are landmine survivors themselves. It is important that their voices be heard and that they participate in international conferences on disarmament and landmine issues. Yet international travel is costly and our campaigners are not always in a position to cover these costs themselves.

The Gift

Your donation will be used towards the purchase of a flight ticket to allow the participation of a landmine survivor campaigner in an international conference. Only with the participation of survivors in landmine-related conferences will the landmine programmes truly take into account the opinions and wishes of landmine survivors. Their presence is crucial to the mine ban movement.
