Overview

We care for America's National Forests. These are some of the most spectacular, crowd-pleasing wildlands on Earth. The best part about these public lands is that they are yours!

Mission

We bring people together to restore and enhance our country's National Forests.

History

The National Forest Foundation was chartered by Congress in 1993 to help improve the health and promote sustainable public enjoyment of America's National Forests.

Program

From clean water to thrilling outdoor experiences, America's 193-million-acre National Forest System sustains our nation in so many ways. And yet, major challenges like wildfire and invasive species threaten these public lands. Together with the U.S. Forest Service and local partners, we restore these treasured landscapes while reconnecting Americans to the incredible benefits these lands provide.

Impact

Because of our collaborative work, our nation's forests become increasingly healthy and resilient, are safe and welcoming of a diverse, engaged, and well informed public.
