Problem

Although nearly 65,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer annually in the U.S., young adult patients get lost between kids and older patients. They may go through treatment never meeting anyone their own age who understands, for example, what it’s like to move back home with your parents, quit a new career or face losing fertility. Young adults in particular may turn to the Internet to find support that is lacking in their own communities.

The Gift

Your contribution will allow us to help young adult patients make vital peer connections by ensuring that another young adult survivor will respond to the questions and fears posted daily on the PC website. By welcoming these patients to a community of young adults, our shared experience can empower them as they navigate this difficult new world.
