Starfish brings life, hope and opportunity to children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. We identify the very best community-based organizations and partner with them to bring health, education and protection to orphans.
Children in South Africa are valued, protected and empowered to realize their dreams.
In 2001, a group of young South Africans, living in London at the time decided to do something about the growing number of children in South Africa, orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS. Starfish was born and now 17 years later has brought life, hope and opportunity to hundreds of thousands of orphans and vulnerable children.
Safety and protection
This year Starfish helped 15,737 children with over 8,000 receiving healthcare through our Wellness Wagons.
Goals this year
We are working to bring an end to HIV through education and healthcare whilst caring for the young victims of the disease, the orphans and vulnerable children left behind.
