Starfish Greathearts Foundation

Overview

Starfish brings life, hope and opportunity to children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. We identify the very best community-based organizations and partner with them to bring health, education and protection to orphans.

Mission

Children in South Africa are valued, protected and empowered to realize their dreams.

History

In 2001, a group of young South Africans, living in London at the time decided to do something about the growing number of children in South Africa, orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS. Starfish was born and now 17 years later has brought life, hope and opportunity to hundreds of thousands of orphans and vulnerable children.
