The Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa
Problem
The United States’ food aid program has been in operation for more than 50 years. Time and again, food aid has been a key response when droughts, floods, or other natural disasters, wars, and civil conflicts have impoverished or uprooted families around the world. Food aid also plays an important role in supplementing the food consumption of poor and nutritionally vulnerable individuals and families, including children, those afflicted by HIV/AIDS and orphans.
The Gift
Your gift of $50 will pay one week’s expenses for a student intern to assemble an a internet-accessible database on food aid “best practice" cases and other research results from non-governmental and other organizations.
