Animals in Darfur
Care for one animal
Cooperative Housing Foundation
Problem
For hundreds of villages across Africa, years of chronic drought leave farmers vulnerable to low yields and insufficient harvests. In addition, more than 4 million poor villagers have been displaced from their communities, being forced to start over with no assets or access to resources such as seeds, fertilizer, tools, and even land. The simplest gift of helping care for livestock through helping provide mobile vet care in this disaster ravaged area creates opportunity for displaced families.
The Gift
Your gift of $25 will allow CHF to provide mobile veterinary care including shots and disease prevention for the people of Darfur. Included in this care are sheep, chickens, donkeys, and other livestock that provide valuable income for refugees and displaced persons. This ensures that families have food security during the off-season by allowing them to yield milk, wool or even help with fieldwork.
