Problem

In developing countries, many children don't live to age five. In the Philippines, where Freedom from Hunger works, health education provides women like Lisa the skills to combat many common childhood diseases. Without this education, Lisa’s two-year old son would have a much higher chance of dying from an treatable ailment. Lifeskills training in health and nutrition arm mothers with knowledge that helps them get their children through those first few years of life.
