Help reach the poor
PPI training for MFIs
More than one billion people are condemned to live on less than $1 per day. Such a crisis demands tangible solutions, and when put into practice on a wide scale, microfinance can help the poor escape poverty.
Help our partners ensure they are reaching the poorest of the poor and understand how fast families are moving out of poverty. Your gift supports training on Grameen Foundation’s breakthrough benchmarking tool, the Poverty out of Progress Index (PPI). With the PPI, a microfinance institution uses indicators of poverty to measure their clients’ likely poverty levels so they can be sure they’re helping the poorest families. By tracking their rates over time, a microfinance institution can assess how quickly its clients are moving out of poverty toward a secure future. The results also help an MFI understand its effectiveness against poverty.
