Sexual health policy
The Guttmacher Institute
Problem
In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult to get those who develop, implement or influence reproductive health policy in the U.S. and internationally to pay attention to scientific evidence. Highly polarizing ideological interests often pose grave threats to enlightened political debate on sexual and reproductive health issues. Progressives are often on the defensive and unable to set the agenda without understandable, compelling arguments on the facts.
