Problem

Primary school enrollment and literacy rates remain among the lowest in the world, particularly for girls. Many must stay home to work family farms or care for their younger brothers and sisters. What meager resources are available, send the boys to school. Adding to this dilemma is the terrible impact of HIV/AIDS. Thousands of parents, teachers, and family members die each year, leaving children orphaned and without an income. Prospects for uneducated girls are grim.

Your donation will provide a complete scholarship kit for a primary or secondary school student. Kits include all the essentials a girl will need - from school fees and books to uniforms and supplies. Scholarship recipients will receive mentoring services to build confidence and help ensure that problems are addressed and that they stay in school and succeed.
