This will help convince parents to keep their daughters in school and free them from their household chores. This gives girls, who otherwise may stay at home, the chance to learn. By promoting education for girls, the World Food Program (WFP) will improve a woman’s chances of finding well-paid work, raising a healthy family and even preventing the spread of diseases like HIV/AIDS. WFP is also helping these girls to achieve economic independence and have a voice within their communities. Education empowers girls and gives them the knowledge and tools they need to improve their lives. During the 25-week sessions, entrepreneurs learn how to define their business goals, write business plans, gain proficiency with technological skills and computing equipment, establish an effective accounting system, build financial literacy, asset development and home ownership strategies, integrate social responsibility into their businesses and lifestyles, launch effective marketing campaigns, and how to open their dream businesses. AnewAmerica's Business Planning course also provides entrepreneurs with extensive information on how to establish green micro-enterprises that are ecologically-responsible in their operations and that offer a healthy product to consumers.
