Wounded veterans of the War on Terror must struggle every day to overcome life-changing sacrifices such as the loss of a limb, significant burns, and the reality of being in a wheelchair. The mission of The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is to help the people who have given so much on our behalf overcome these obstacles and resume a productive and fulfilling life through programs targeted to their specific needs.
Mission
The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes is a non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization, created to provide a meaningful way for individuals, corporations and others to help our severely wounded and disabled Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom veterans and their families rebuild their lives.
Program
Emergency Aid – direct financial aid to soldiers and their families in crisis.
Family Support Network – free, private housing available to family members of wounded soldiers who are recuperating at military and VA hospitals far from home.
Career Network – Programs that assist wounded Vets (and their spouses) in transitioning from their career in the military to exploring options in the civilian workplace.
Homes for Heroes – disability-adapted homes that are nearly cost-free for wheelchair-bound and blind veterans.
Road to Recovery Conference – an all-expense paid educational and service event for wounded heroes and their families.
Kids Camp - Participants will engage in therapeutic activities which highlight:

In 2006, the Coalition opened an office at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and is part of the Transition Employment Assistance Management Service (TEAMS). This group provides employment and transitioning assistance to service members and their military spouses. A gift can help to provide on-job pre-occupational training, online courses, which cost $500 - $600 per service member.
