About Me

Hello! My name is Lily Scott and I hail from Monmouth Beach, NJ. I am currently an undergraduate student studying at Bates College in Lewiston, ME. I also swim for the varsity team at Bates as well as work at the Bates Center for Purposeful Work as a dual office and medical studies assistant. I enjoy cooking, writing, or going to the beach in my spare time!

 

My Academics

Presently, I am a rising junior at Bates College and currently major in Psychology. I also have general education concentrations in Knowledge, Action, and Public Good; Children, Adolescents, and School; and Digital and Computational Studies.

 

My Extracurricular Activities

My Sports Activities

I am currently a member of the Bates College Swimming and Diving program. I have been both an individual and relay conference finalist in the NESCAC, which is the athletic conference Bates is a part of. Before Bates, I also excelled in high school swimming. My high school, Trinity Hall, won two state championships back to back during my junior and senior years. We also won our county and multi-county conference championships my senior year, which were some of our high school's first major athletic accolades. In addition, I was also our school's team captain as a senior and won the multi-county sportsmanship award for my school.

I recycle anything that can be recycled, and enjoy reusing other people's clothes that they do not want. I also make sure none of the food that I eat goes to waste.

 

My Volunteering and Community Service

Volunteer, D'Youville at St. Mary's Hospital; Lewiston, ME - May 2019 - present ' Visit residents and speak with them about their life experiences Volunteer, All Hands Volunteers; Denham Springs, LA - April 2017 ' Rebuilt houses after the flooding that took place in August of 2016 Volunteer, Harbor School; Eatontown, NJ - 2011-2014 ' Helped children in grammar school with homework, crafts, etc.

I have not had a lot of experience with fundraising but am willing to learn!
