Problem

The average of 5% university enrollment rate and the weak output of academic research papers have revealed the worrying situation of Africa’s higher education, and have further enlarged the disparity between this region and the rest of the world. Many African universities have limited resources and inadequate capacity in teaching/research, which severely impair the quality of education.

The Gift

Your donation will assist universities in improving the physical conditions (e.g. purchase up-to-date publications, add research equipment to the laboratories, etc) to strengthen teaching, research and educational programs and to ameliorate the quality of higher education in Africa. The fund will also be used to tackle the problems such as insufficient teaching facilities or qualified teachers, out-of-date course materials and research equipment, poor educational infrastructure, weak link to industry, etc. Your contribution will help university become an efficient tool for Africa’s development in the new century and enable African academics to play an active part in the global community of scholars.
