Problem

There are currently about 40 million people living with HIV/AIDS around the world. Every day, there are 14,000 new infections, and 95 percent of those are in the developing world. IAVI is working to find an AIDS vaccine to end this epidemic. IAVI has 11 field sites and clinics which require equipment to provide their services. Equipment needs vary from stethoscopes and exam beds to weight scales and blood pressure machines.

The Gift

Your gift will provide the money for a stethoscope for one of our developing country sites. Equipment like this is necessary for these clinics to function and to do so at the highest standards of treatment and care. Access to healthcare in the developing world is often very limited. To date, over 14,000 people have received Voluntary Counseling & Testing (VCT) services from IAVI. Your gift will help keep the clinic running so it can continue to provide these vital VCT serves to the community.
