About Me

I am a first generation college student who has overcome many obstacles to get where I am today. Whether those obstacles be societal or financial, seeing my parents struggle every single day has given me the drive to never be satisfied, work hard, and most importantly help those in need. My main goal in life is not to make as much money as possible or live a life of luxury. I hope to share my life story with others and inspire them to be the best that they can be, even when the light seems to be dimming at the end of the tunnel. It is heartbreaking to know that there are people around the world that have it worse than I do, and I always count my blessings as to how lucky I am to have a roof over my head and to have three meals a day everyday. I have volunteered from a young age, whether it be at my local temple, food shelter, soup kitchen, or in an underprivileged area. Moving forward, I hope to uplift people in poor communities in this country and around the world through education and technology.

My Lifestyle

The way I try to make this world a better place is by using my bike to get to classes instead of a car, using paper bags for my groceries whenever possible, using stainless steel water bottles, and recycling plastic cans whenever I get the chance at the grocery store and using that money to donate to the Special Olympics.

My Volunteering and Community Service

I have volunteered at food shelters as part of the Pre-Med Club and learned how people in this country are not all doing well economically, and that the onus is on the people who do have a good life to help get others who are less fortunate up on their feet. Along with this experience, I have set up science projects and clinics on behalf of Health Promotion, a friend's startup with a biology video game made for kids, and the American Red Cross. Making sure that everyone has equal access to vaccines and different types of medication, along with a basic understanding of science, is important is creating a tenable society for all walks of life.

My Fundraising

Some of the fundraising activities that I have partaken in are pieing a brother in the face, buying plates of nachos at a bar with the proceeds going to the Special Olympics, selling candy, and smashing an old car for charity.

My Charitable Wish List on Changing The Present

I love the idea of people donating instead of buying unwanted presents. It is a much more meaningful way to show your love.
