My Volunteering and Community Service
When I was in high school, I used to volunteer for the YMCA. I would work at their open houses. Also, I am required to do community service for my school's honors program. I have volunteered at Brooklyn Bridge Park removing weeds. I have volunteered at an animal shelter cleaning and organizing their inventory. In September, I volunteered at the Food Bank for New York City. This is an organization that collects food donations at the farmer's market in Union Square and donates them to a church. From these experiences, I have learned the importance of helping others. I have also learned that there are many different ways in which you can help people.
My Charitable Wish List on Changing The Present
I love the idea of people donating instead of buying unwanted presents. It is a much more meaningful way to show your love.
