Please see my charitable wish list for my birthday and holidays.

I hope you create a charitable wish list or registry, too.

About Me

I'm a student at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine majoring in psychology with a passion for volunteering and helping others. I am originally from Grosse Pointe, Michigan and have loved volunteering throughout my life.

My Academics

I am an undergraduate student studying psychology. I also study Spanish and spent a semester living with a family in Spain in a full language immersion program. After graduation, I plan to earn a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and eventually open my own practice.

My Extracurricular Activities

During the school year, I am very involved in the Lewiston community. I work with elementary school students who are struggling in school to improve their reading and comprehension skills. I also help with activities for middle schoolers in the community to encourage them to continue their studies and eventually attend college. During the summers, I have interned for different nonprofits to help fundraise, write grant proposals, and raise awareness for their cause.

My Sports Activities

I live an active life and love to run and play tennis in my free time.

Honors and Awards

I have made the Dean's List all 6 of my semesters at Bates.

My Lifestyle

I try to be as environmentally conscious as possible by avoiding single-use plastics, recycling, and trying to walk as much as possible instead of using transportation. I have also been reducing my intake of animal products.

My Volunteering and Community Service

I have a long history of volunteering with children. I worked with the Detroit Institute for Children to help children with disabilities with their therapy in a setting designed to be more fun for them. I worked with children in my hometown to help with their schoolwork and understanding of the concepts they were being taught. I also work with students in the Lewiston community to help them with their reading comprehension and understanding as well as helping with activities on campus to encourage students in the community to continue their education and attend college.

My Fundraising

I worked with a group called Sigma Gamma to raise money for therapy for children with disabilities through the Detroit Institute for Children. I also work with this group to fundraise for Head Start programs in Detroit. Through my experience working with nonprofits, I have done research and written grant proposals in order to receive donations to support causes focused on equal employment opportunity.

My Charitable Wish List on Changing The Present

I love the idea of people donating instead of buying unwanted presents. It is a much more meaningful way to show your love. Please see my charitable wish list, and please create your own.
