Emma's Wish List

Charitable wish lists and registries show what we are passionate about.
Create or edit your own here!

Hello everyone! Instead of being gifted something I do not truly need, I would prefer a donation towards a cause I am passionate about that will go towards those who need it. Non-profits are essential for creating change and bettering society, but they need more funding. By making a donation to one of the causes I care deeply about below, you will help make a difference! I encourage you to join the movement and create your own wish list as well!

Save An Elephant - One hour of research

The School for Field Studies

Your gift will fund one student researcher for one hour of data collection at The School for Field Studies Center for Wildlife Management Studies. Data collected will be used to develop a land-use plan for the Kimana, Kuku and Mbirikani Group Ranches that will identify economically sustainable measures that can be taken by these Masaai group ranches to decrease human-elephant conflict and wildlife conflict in general. Research will also ensure that wildlife and in particular, elephant, range remains open. The goal of this multi-year project is to collect all the primary data needed to work with the local communities and other stakeholders to implement a land-use plan that will ensure the survival of both humans and elephants in the Amboseli Ecosystem.

It is time for us to protect sea turtles and rebuild their populations to healthy levels as a vital step in ensuring healthy and resilient oceans for the future.

Your contribution will support the turtle conservation and hatching sanctuary programs of Cirenas, which exists to create transformative connections between people and the environment through education, research, integration, and innovation.

Cirenas occupies 4,700 acres on the Pacific Coast of the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica, a large portion of the Nicoya Peninsula’s most important and pristine watershed and coastal riparian habitat, including 3.5 kms of beautiful and desolate beaches.

Adopt A Penguin - Alternative fuels

Defenders of Wildlife

Your gift to Adopt A Penguin will enable Defenders of Wildlife to work with automakers and members of Congress to raise the standard fuel efficiency of cars and trucks. The burning of fossil fuels is the single most human-related cause of rising temperatures around the globe. In addition, your gift will help Defenders work to promote increased reliance on alternative fuels such as wind and solar, as well as an increased efficiency of our standard household appliances. Your gift will help Defenders save penguins and other imperiled wildlife.

We must have everyone’s support to stop Congress from handing the home of polar bears and other wildlife over to Big Oil, which will only result in a savings of a penny at the gas pump…and that’s in 20 years! Your gift to Adopt A Polar Bear will help Defenders save polar bears and other imperiled Arctic wildlife.

Your $25 donation enables WaterAid to provide one person with clean safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in one of the 26 countries where we work. This gift is enough to pay for one person in one of the world's poorest countries to gain access to safe, clean water and sanitation for life.

Educate Young Girls - Food for education

Friends of the World Food Program, Inc.

Your gift will provide take-home food rations to girls in school for six months to help ease the economic burden on parents. This will help convince parents to keep their daughters in school and free them from their household chores. This gives girls, who otherwise may stay at home, the chance to learn. By promoting education for girls, the World Food Program (WFP) will improve a woman’s chances of finding well-paid work, raising a healthy family and even preventing the spread of diseases like HIV/AIDS. WFP is also helping these girls to achieve economic independence and have a voice within their communities. Education empowers girls and gives them the knowledge and tools they need to improve their lives. It will continue to have positive and long-lasting effects not only for them, but also for their families and their communities. Plant a Tree - Just $1 Plants a Tree

The Nature Conservancy

Tropical forests are the lungs of the Earth, storing enormous amounts of carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen in a never-ending cycle of life. The Atlantic Forest -- one of the biggest tropical forests in the world -- helps regulate the atmosphere and stabilize global climate. Plant a tree in this critical landscape for only one dollar.

This gift will neutralize 1 ton or 2,205lbs of CO2 from the atmosphere. Carbonfund.org will support renewable energy, such as wind and solar; energy efficiency and reforestation projects that offset these carbon dioxide emissions. Our climate-friendly projects are in the United States, India, Nicaragua, Brazil, China and other parts of the world. By supporting the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions equal to your annual emissions from your home, car and flying energy use. You become part of the solution to global warming!

This gift will provide the magic of two new books to a child in need, and help create a foundation of literacy in her life.

Feed 60 Children - Help a Child Learn

Friends of the World Food Program, Inc.

Your gift of $15 will provide 60 children with a school meal, which is proven to significantly increase attendance rates and help children take their minds off their next meal and dedicate their attention to their studies. Providing meals within the educational system encourages poor families to send their children to school and proper nutrition helps pupils stay focused in the classroom. Children, such as eight year old Emmanuel, who participates in a WFP Liberia school feeding program, are dependent on the meals provided by WFP to get through the day. He explains, “Sometimes my parents don't have the money to buy me breakfast. I'm always happy to come to school because I can eat here.” Through school meals, WFP is not only able to fight hunger but also provide children with the key to a better future - an education.
