The Problem

Whales in the ocean today face more threats than ever before: plastic pollution, ship strikes, chemical pollution, bycatch/entanglement, noise pollution and climate change are some of the main offenders. At Ocean Alliance, our goal is to protect whales, and their ocean environment, through research and education. We conduct cutting edge research to help better understand whales, and how the threats which they face are impacting their health and wellbeing. We then educate the public, policy makers, educators and so on about the importance of these animals and what we can all do to help protect them.
