Our Mission

We are already making the world a better place. More and more of us are showing our love by making a meaningful charitable donation in a friend's name instead of buying yet more "stuff." Imagine how much good we could do with the $450 billion Americans spend each year on birthday, wedding, and holiday presents. Our nonprofit site makes it easy and rewarding.

A Very Efficient Nonprofit

Changing The Present is very cost-efficient, but we do have expenses, including the expernse of operating this internship program.

Donation Options - We Made it Easy

Most of our former OPT interns donate when they finish their work here, especially if they did not make monthly contributions for their entire time here. 

• Some donate $250. One of our former interns wrote, "The $250 donation is just about one day's pay at my new job, so I am happy to help a nonprofit that helped me so much!" 
• Some donate $75 per month that they worked here. 
• Some donate more

Tax-Deductible

This is a payment and you got the benefits of an internship, so you will not be able to claim this as a tax-deductible donation, notwithstanding the language on the receipt. Only 17% of American taxpayers itemize their expenses, and the monthly payment amount is low, so that is probably not significant to you.
