Educate A Child
One year of school
Operation USA
Problem
Signatory countries to the Convention on the Rights of the Child must “Make primary education compulsory and available free to all" (Article 28). Yet, most countries do not or are unable to comply. Families, many of them living on less than $2 a day, cannot afford even the most minimal cost of sending their children to school. Other obstacles include the purchase of mandatory school uniforms and basic supplies.
The Gift
Give the gift of a future. With your gift of only $18, you can send a child living in Vietnam to school for an entire year. Operation USA partners with local community groups in rural villages in Vietnam to help support children’s education. Education is highly valued in Vietnam, and when a family is given the cost of sending a child to school, it fosters hope for their future.
