Problem

Children across New York are being denied the opportunities that only a quality education can provide. Overcrowded classrooms, out-dated textbooks, and a lack of basic supplies are among the barriers kids face to learning at school. The Alliance for Quality Education, of which the Public Policy and Education Fund is a member, advocates for fair funding and smarter spending to ensure that all children have access to a high quality public education.

The Gift

The Alliance for Quality Education empowers parents, students, and concerned residents to speak out in support of education. Your gift will pay for transportation for one parent activist to travel to Albany to testify at a public hearing. Our organizing and advocacy has shown proven results: millions of dollars in funding, while holding education officials accountable for how the money is spent. Your gift will support our successful work to win funding to reduce class size, expand pre-kindergarten, and provide essential education services for millions of New York children.
