VisionSpring
Problem
People in the developing world have limited access to economic opportunities. VisionSpring helps train low-income men and women to start their own micro-franchises selling reading glasses. Unlike microcredit, which creates access to capital, VisionSpring loans entrepreneurs the “Business in a Bag” itself. Included in the “Business in a Bag” is everything a Vision Entrepreneur needs to start their micro-franchise, allowing them to start their own businesses and support their families.
The Gift
A gift of $100 will provide a Vision Entrepreneur with a “Business in a Bag” allowing them to start a VisionSpring micro-franchise. This includes 30 pairs of brand-new reading glasses, 10 pairs of sunglasses, eye drops, cases, cords, a uniform, marketing materials, and a bag in which to organize and carry all of these items.
